2. A, are ion channels in the nervous system to transmit signals

3.b, lacking the gene coding for:
Official Gene Symbol: CFTR

Gene Product Name: Cystic fibrosis transmembrane

The role of proteins: The protein product of the normal CFTR chloride channel is a protein in the cell membrane that line the passageways of the lungs, liver, pancreas, intestines, reproductive organs, and skin. CFTR is also involved in the regulation route.

Associated Disorders: faulty versions of this protein, caused by mutations in the CFTR gene can cause the development of cystic fibrosis (CF) and congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens (ABCD).
